First time shaving

Jake grabbed Chris' shaver the other evening and started to "shave"! It was super cute and Chris was able to grab a few shots.

 
 
 
 

March Madness!

March has been a little bit of a tough month for our little man. He cut 3 teeth so far (another incisor is coming down), had a cold for over 3 weeks, and is perfecting exerting his independence and strong will (which I think is tougher for Chris and I than Jake)! On the plus side Jake has still been smiling and laughing each day, enjoying the great spring-like weather, and talking up a storm!

The second picture shows that Jake can get cranky - everyone always comments on how he is always so happy (which he usually is but everyone has their "moments")!

 
 
 
 

Cars, Cars, Cars!

Jake is OBSESSED with cars!! He loves everything about cars - whether it's the movie (his favorite), his toy hotwheels, or cars on the road - he talks all day long about cars. When he wakes up he sometimes calls out "momma CARS"! We find cars everywhere in the house - in our pockets, shoes - he even snuck one into the washer last weekend. During car rides we count the cars on the road - Jake is able to get to five. At our new house we have a new route to walk the dog which, at one point in the walk overlooks a major road, and today just before that spot he called out in anticipation "Cars Momma (pointing to the road)"! So cute.
